How to Read This Book
This book is a work in progress, written and revised in the open.
Part One (Chapters 1–3) and the beginning of Part Two (Chapters 4–5) are in good shape. These chapters cover my journey into technical writing, the experiences that led me to think about content quality, and the introduction of the six characteristics that form the core of this book.
Chapters 6–14 are under active development. The ideas are there, but the writing is being reworked. If you read those chapters today, they may read very differently tomorrow.
If you’re new here, I’d suggest starting with Chapter 1 and reading through Chapter 5. That will give you the story behind the framework and a solid introduction to how I think about quality. If you want to peek ahead at the later chapters, go for it — just know they’re not done yet.
